Hey! We're back! Here's sort of a summary of what happened at Youth Camp, Piff, you can add your own too. MONDAY- Nothing much happened during the day, pretty much just traveling to camp, lovingly called "Kamp Kenly" by us geeky Jesus freeks. ^^ Mostly I helped Piff become accomadated with the facilities sort of thing. Later on that night, after all of the churches arrived, we got our colored bandanas (14 colors: Red, Purple, Black, Green, Burgandy, Lime Green, Army Green, Lite Blue, Navy Blue, Yellow, Tan, Silver, White, and Orange) I was on the red team, middle schoolers (I'm a freshman I tell you! A FRESHMAN!!!! ) The REST of our church were in Purple (Highschool Girls) and Black (Highschool Boys, along with others. ^^) Anyways, we had Midnight Mayhem, really fun, moved our clocks one hour forward to "Camp Time" They explained what would be going on, explained the points and such things. Went over saftey and the rules, introduced people, had some relay games and a little worship with C2. TUESDAY- Team Competition began today. Woke up, had breakfast, then at 10:30 camp time we began the different activities. We went to the Gym first (Red Girls, Red boys went to Pool first.) played dodgeball, and managed to get whacked in the head, twice, first time knocking my glasses off second, mishaping them. DON'T YOU PEOPLE LISTEN? DON'T AIM FOR THE HEAD! THEY TOLD YOU! I HEARD THEM SAY NOT TO AIM FOR THE HEAD!!! *breathes* Other than that, it was fun. After that we went to the Front parking lot and launched water balloons for our teams to catch without bursting the balloons. 11:30- Chapel, we were terrible, don't ask anymore, please. After that we went to the pool (We were dying in the heat. ^^) there we played pool volleyball. After pool, we had snack before heading for the field for some tug-o-war and kickball. Tug-O-War: Fun, it was four way tugowar, will draw a picture to show you what I mean. Well, after the teams went, they picked the five strongest girls from the three teams (Lt. Blue, Red, Yellow.) Well, I was one of the girls on the Red team and it was going fine, then we got the Lt. Blue team out and maybe we lost some of our focus because next moment, I was on the ground, still holding onto the rope, being dragged along in the sand. I did try to get back up, but it was no use, Yellow team beat us. I...well...was pretty shaken by the drag, and to be honest I was scared out of my life. I started to sob lightly, Emily came and help me up, so did Amy, one of the counselers. Amy hugged me, while some people got me water. The Yellow team came up and apologized over and over, PA (Pastor Ashley) came over to make sure I was alright also. Good thing, my "death grip" got us 5,000 points! Then we went over to play the Kamp Kenly version of kickball. There was a slip and slide that was covered in water and baby shampoo, our team didn't get to kick, so some of us slid down it. So, when we were going back to the dorms, I was covered in sand, water, and baby shampoo. After that was lunch, and Catching the Wave, that was....eh...Then free time, 6:30 dinner then the evening service. WEDNESDAY- Pretty much the same as Tuesday, order of events was different though: Front Parking Lot, Chapel, Gym, Field, Pool, Snack. Only thing interesting happening was Stephanie cut up her knee on the slip and slide and had to have stitches and everything. Evening service, wow. Well, first of all, Pastor Marty is so totally awesome! Rock on with you're pastorly self!! Second, I GOT BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT! It was so....thrilling! I only remember parts of it, but I'll try my best. First, I repented of my sins, then went to where people could pray for me. I couldn't find a leader, but then, my very caring friend, Ashley came up and started to pray for me...Oh man, it felt like hours, I had Piff, Chelsea, Janine, and all other people prayed for me. Then PA came up and asked if I had received it yet, I said no, and he started to pray for me too, by then, only Ashley and Piff were praying for me. A couple of minutes (they felt like hours, I'm not kidding.)later I had Chris, Doug, Janine, Nicole, Amanda, Gino, Ashley, Piff, PA and several others from my church around me praying to let go of my fear, my doubt and be baptized. All I remember from there on is seeing PA's khaki pants and the bottom of his black shirt before I buckled and fell. Several people caught me and laid me on the floor, right about now I was half conscious most likely. My body was racked with sobs as I tried not to give up on getting baptized, then, after a long time, it happened. I didn't even know it was happening, all I heard was Piff saying, "She did it! She's baptized! Guys, she's speaking in tongues!" After that I woke up, my whole body was tingling, Ashley and Piff helped me sit up, man, it felt like I had just gotten off a large rollercoster. 12:10, it took me two hours and ten minutes to get baptized, and I've been waiting well over a year to get the Holy Spirit in me, so this was BIG. After that, we went to bed. THURSDAY- Thursday, Tucker Lake day. I participated in the competition, then just sat in the shade, letting my swimsuit (still on my body, don't worry. ^^) and my shorts that I was wearing while rowing out to "rescue" people in the competition dry. I read my latest CSI novel, and read funny exerpts (sp?) out loud to Ashley, politely using other words for curse words. It was fun and we passed several hours that way. We had another late night Thurs. night, Purple and Navy team won the point thing. We went back to our dorms and fell asleep. FRIDAY- Haha, THIS day was funny. Okay, Catherine usually wakes us up at about 7:00/7:30 camp time in the mornings, so most of our room was about half awake. All of a sudden, we hear a slam upstairs, then the pounding of feet and banging of pots and pans and yelling. It's the Orange team, waking up the girl's dorm so early in the morning. So, there's a couple more slams, then, the fire alarm goes off. Man, I've never seen anyone in our room get out of their beds so fast. Well, we're outside, the Rec Team is filming this, the whole girl's dorm is outside, it's chilly and we're in pjs. ^^ Apparently, when the Orange team was making their noise, they slammed the door too hard and it set off the alarm. YEAH RIGHT. Thos alarms are only set off by pushing it in and pulling down, Piff agrees, it takes strength to do it too, a door slamming sets it off? Puh-lease. Anyways, things turn back to normal and we go inside, pack, clean, and get ready to leave. We're given our tickets to go to Brunch and we go, Brunch goes fine, then we're forced outside again. We then have communion after filling out forms, then, it's time to go home. That's the End of Youth Camp '05, I can't wait till '06! I will include pictures as soon as I develop them. ~Diana

Hey everyone. I'll do a summary of everything that happened at youth camp, altough diana has already bothered to explain it.
MONDAY - Just got there, long ride, mainly tryed to sleep on the way there while diana read a CSI book and listen to some music. We got there and put our stuff in a dorm, then we wondered around. We went to the Gym, and to the "mist tent". that was pretty cool. Then later, the teams had to leave for the big team meeting, going over the rules, relay races, winning points, etc, etc. They it ran late, and our team had kitchen duty. So our team only had like 5 minutes to eat. We did the work then we cleaned up once everyone was gone. It was nasty. Then everyone was in the lobby and stuff. There was a big storm so everyone went back to their dorms; except me, diana, and ashley because one of the counselors said we had to go to chapel in 5 minutes so we just stayed. We meet a guy named Nathan in the lobby, he was 18, cool, nice, & pretty cute. It's always good to meet new friends. After chapel we went to our dorms, and that's pretty much it.
I'll write about tuesday later, I don't feel like it right now. buh-bye.
